HPR Engineer

Large multi-line insurer is looking for an HPR Engineer in the San Francisco area or Pacific NW to work from home. Candidates should have 5 to 15 years of experience in a similar role with an insurer or consulting company, should have an undergraduate degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Fire Protection, Civil) and should have a strong understanding of utilities as well as a familiarity with various types of industrial risk, including but not limited to the semiconductor industry, heavy and light metal working, paint and light chemicals and plastics manufacturing. A strong background in fire protection and prevention is desired. Candidates should possess good communication skills (written and verbal), be self motivated and be able to demonstrate knowledge and familiarity with the processes and hazards of these industry segments as well as knowledge of industry standards for controlling and mitigating risks.
