My client is undergoing rapid expansion and seeking highly motivated, dynamic and influential individuals with a strong background in fire protection, emergency response and risk management to join our Houston operation among many other locations and aid in the further development and growth of our business.

My client is an independent and specialist process safety and risk management consulting company with majority employee ownership. We assist clients in major hazard industries to manage process safety and business risk.

Interested candidates should have a good understanding of the technical fundamentals of fire protection, including all facets from the conceptual phase to testing and commissioning, within refining, petrochemical and oil and gas processing industries. In addition, the candidate should have an interest in emergency response, business development and have good organizational and communication skills.

Duties and responsibilities will include: *Providing fire and gas detection technical assurance and guidance to clients *Providing guidance on selection and adoption of new technologies *Providing guidance on emergency response and risk management issues *Developing specifications and standards (technical practices) for clients’ fire and gas detection, alarming, suppression and inhibition systems *Maintaining a working knowledge of all relevant codes, standards and regulations that pertain to fire and gas detection technologies and that have an impact on technical practices

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Fire Protection Consultant, applicants must have: *Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in fire protection, mechanical or electrical engineering *Minimum 5 years industry experience within refining, petrochemical or oil and gas *Technical fire protection and emergency response experience
