Our firm is currently looking for a FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS DESIGNER. Here is some more information about the position:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Design of commercial fire sprinkler systems for installation in new construction and remodel building projects in the San Francisco Bay Area.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
Design and prepare drawings per NFPA 13, UBC, California Building Code, Factory Mutual, and State Fire Marshall standards.
Provide hydraulic and seismic calculations for sprinkler system, plan submittals and installation.
Coordinate design drawings with architects and other building trades. Attend design coordination meetings.
Communicate with local and state fire authorities regarding code requirements and water flow information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate should be proficient with CAD systems design and with hydraulic calculation programs such as hydrotec. NICET certification at any level is a plus. 2-10 years of experience required.
