On June 15, 2010, the Northern California-Nevada Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers is hosting a seminar about the theory, design, commissioning, and acceptance of smoke control systems.

The keynote speaker, Dr. James Milke, Professor of Fire Protection Engineering at the University of Maryland and co-author of the Principles of Smoke Management, will present the theory of smoke management.  Presenting other aspects of smoke control are three experts, representing both consulting and fire services: John Stauder, John Lee, and Jon Corbett.
